Gajar ka halwa, also known as gajrela, gajar pak. It is made from grated carrots, milk, sugar and cardamom, then cooked, stirring regularly. This gajar candy is made with whole milk, butter and sugar. You don't need lysates or condensed milk. We usually use red carrots to make the dessert richer. Sometimes I also make an orange carrot dessert, the gajar is not fried with butter, it changes color and makes the sweetness black. We always add the carrots and milk together in the pan and cook until the milk is absorbed.
